Summary: Battery Pulse does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All battery data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it. The app uses Google AdMob for advertising, which may collect certain device identifiers as described below.

1. Information We Collect

Battery Pulse itself does not collect any personal information. The app reads the following device data for display purposes only:

Battery level (percentage)
Battery temperature, voltage, and current flow
Battery health status
Charging/discharging state
Device uptime
App usage statistics (only when you grant optional permission)

All of this data is processed and stored locally on your device in a local SQLite database. It is never transmitted to any external server.

2. Third-Party Services

Battery Pulse uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. Google AdMob may collect certain information as part of its advertising services, including:

Device advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID)
IP address (for country-level geolocation)
Device information (model, OS version)
App interaction data (ad views, ad clicks)

3. Data Storage

All battery telemetry data collected by Battery Pulse is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. This data includes:

Historical battery level readings (sampled every 5 minutes)
Temperature, voltage, and current readings
Timestamps of readings

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all stored data.

4. Permissions

Battery Pulse requests the following Android permissions:

Internet: Required for loading advertisements via Google AdMob.
Foreground Service: Required to maintain continuous battery monitoring and display persistent status notifications.
Notifications: Required to display battery status and warning notifications.
Boot Completed: Required to restart battery monitoring after device reboot.
Battery Optimization Exemption: Requested to prevent the system from stopping background monitoring.
Usage Stats (optional): Only requested if you choose to view app usage statistics. Can be denied without affecting core functionality.

5. Children's Privacy

Battery Pulse is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is rated for users aged 18 and above on the Google Play Store.

6. Data Sharing

Battery Pulse does not share any user data with third parties, except for the data automatically collected by Google AdMob as described in Section 2. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data.

7. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all data at any time by:

Clearing the app's data via Android Settings > Apps > Battery Pulse > Storage > Clear Data
Uninstalling the app (permanently deletes all locally stored data)

8. Security

Battery Pulse implements the following security measures:

No data transmission to external servers
Application backup is disabled (android:allowBackup="false")
Code obfuscation via R8/ProGuard
Debug logging stripped from production builds

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
